The indicators of poverty and social exclusion ("Laeken indicators")

This bachelor work is engaged in the indicators of poverty and social exclusion. It is focused on establishment of the indicators, their definitions and algorithms they are calculated. The first chapter displays indicators as instruments of social policy realisation. The next one describes the process before the indicators were established and the point when they have been established. The third chapter - the longest - comprises definitions and categorisation of the indicators. Moreover, it is practical part of the work, because this chapter is the indicators of poverty and exclusion detailed calculation methodology manual rendered from English into Czech. Following - the fourth chapter - is focused on essentiality and nonessentiality and redundance of information while measurement of social reality. The next chapter displays how the indicators might be used in the Czech Republic. The sixth one is focused on indicators establishing necessity justification. The last chapter describes possibilities and value of indicators dispersion both square and in number
